Liming enzyme (depilatory enzyme) is a compound of alkaline protease, lipase and other enzyme preparations. It can be used to remove scales and pigments, fully loosen collagen fibers and accelerate the liming process.
How It Works:
Liming enzyme can effectively decompose the substances around the hair follicles of raw hides and the substances connecting the epidermis and dermis, such as mucin, etc., weakening the connection between the hair, epidermis and dermis, loosening the hair roots and helping hair removal. Its application can also reduce the use of sulfide in the liming stage, and at the same time, it can further specifically remove proteoglycans in the dermis (such as chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans and other fiber interstitial), while improving the loosening effect of collagen fibers without damaging them.
Application Instructions:
Liming enzyme is mainly used in the leather liming process, and can also be used with other auxiliaries. The dosage varies according to the original hide and the purpose. We recommend that a small-scale test must be carried out under the same production operation environment before large-scale production. This will avoid damage and influence on the hide due to excessive dosage or different processes. Especially for leather of slightly lower quality, the processing process and time must be mastered.

As enzymes are protein-based substances, they may cause allergic reactions if inhaled by sensitive individuals. Prolonged exposure may irritate the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. It is recommended to wear protective masks when handling the product. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water. After opening, reseal the bag or container tightly to prevent the deactivation of active enzyme components.
