Mannanase

Mannanase

Mannanase is a versatile enzyme used in detergents to break down mannan-based stains, providing deep cleaning and preventing re-soiling of fabrics. It is stable across a wide range of washing temperatures and pH levels, ensuring consistent performance.

Product Overview:

Mannanase is an enzyme produced through liquid deep fermentation of selected high-yield strains. It is widely used in industries such as textiles, paper manufacturing, and detergents. Mannanase hydrolyzes the β-1,4-mannosidic bonds in galactomannans, glucomannans, galactoglucomannans, and mannans, producing mainly mannooligosaccharides and a small amount of mannose.

How It Works:

Mannan-based stains are difficult to remove and can even transfer onto clean fabrics during washing, causing yellowing and graying. Mannanase effectively breaks down thickening agents that contain mannan, removing common household stains such as chocolate, pudding, mayonnaise, ice cream, and salad dressing. It also prevents mannan residues, which can re-soil fabrics by attracting new stains, thus ensuring deep cleaning and preventing re-deposition. Mannanase keeps white fabrics looking bright and is highly stable in most detergent formulations.

Key Features:

  • Deep Cleaning Power: Breaks down mannan-based thickening agents, ensuring the removal of tough stains.
  • Anti-Re-deposition: Prevents the redeposition of stains by breaking down mannan residues that attract dirt.
  • Fabric Brightness: Helps maintain the whiteness of fabrics, especially for whites.
  • Stability: Remains stable in a wide range of detergent formulations.

Application Instructions:

Mannanase shows good activity across most detergent conditions, including temperatures between 20–60°C and pH levels between 6–10. The recommended dosage in detergent raw materials is 0.2–0.5%, depending on the specific detergent formulation.

Packaging & Storage:

  • Packaging Options: Available in 1kg/bag and 25kg/bag.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. The shelf life is 12 months when stored below 25°C. Some enzyme activity may remain beyond this period if the product is stored under uncontaminated conditions. Adjust dosage if used past the expiration date.

Safety Information:

As enzymes are protein-based substances, they may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals if inhaled. Prolonged exposure may irritate the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. It is recommended to wear protective masks when handling the product. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water. After opening, reseal the bag or container tightly to prevent deactivation of active enzyme components.
